كانت بينوكروسيوم مستوطنة رومانية بريطانية ومجمعًا عسكريًا يقع في ووتر إيتون الحالية، جنوب بنكريدج مباشرة ، ستافوردشاير ، مع وجود أدلة على وجود سكن فيها من منتصف القرن الأول حتى القرن الرابع. ^{[ 3 ]}

ذُكرت المستوطنة في كتاب "رحلة أنطونين" الذي يعود إلى القرن الثاني الميلادي ، والذي وصفها بأنها تقع على بُعد 12 ميلاً من أوكساكونا (بالقرب من أوكينغيتس الحالية ) و12 ميلاً من ليتوسيتوم ( وال ، بالقرب من ليتشفيلد ). ^{[ 4 ]} لم يُحدد الموقع الدقيق لبنوكروسيوم إلا بعد أن كشفت صور جوية عن آثار محاصيل زراعية في عام 1946، وأجرى كينيث سانت جوزيف حفريات على مدى السنوات اللاحقة. ^{[ 5 ]}

كانت بينوكروسيوم مفترق طرق مهم على طريق واتلينج ستريت - الطريق الروماني الرئيسي عبر ميدلاندز إلى فيروكونيوم كورنوفيوروم ( وروكسيتر ) - وكانت تقع على بعد 700 متر شرق معبرها لنهر بنك ، مع طرق تؤدي شمالًا إلى ميديولانوم ( ويتشيرش ) وجنوبًا باتجاه جرينزفورج بالقرب من كينفر وحصن ميتشلي في برمنغهام. ^{[ 4 ]}
