  • 11 أكتوبر - انتهت عملية نهب ويكسفورد في أيرلندا بعد أن بدأت في 2 أكتوبر، حيث تمكن جيش كرومويل الجديد من اختراقها وقتل أكثر من 1500 من المدافعين والمدنيين الكاثوليك الأيرلنديين، بينما خسر 20 جنديًا إنجليزيًا فقط. أنهى الاستيلاء على ويكسفورد الفرصة المتبقية لتشارلز الثاني ، وريث العرش الإنجليزي، لإنزال قوات في أيرلندا، وهرب تشارلز والأسطول الملكي إلى البرتغال.
